This is the first of many great food spots in downtown Sevierville. Graze makes it tough to choose—everything looks incredible! They serve up grass-fed beef burgers, crave-worthy finger foods, and creative cocktails. And the spiked milkshakes? Next level. The Boozy S’mores is fantastic, but their alcohol-free Bananas Foster Milkshake is hands-down the best shake we’ve ever had. Period. (Though we’re still eyeing that Fosters Brulee with spiced rum...🤤)

Cocktail lovers, this one’s a must!

Anakeesta is Gatlinburg’s ultimate outdoor adventure park, sitting high above the city with breathtaking mountain views and thrilling attractions. Teens love the Dueling Zipline Adventure, where they can race friends through the treetops, and the Rail Runner Mountain Coaster, a single-rail coaster that lets them control their own speed. Outdoor Adventure
Swimming holes, picnic area, trails, less crowded than some areas of the park.

An easy .8 mile roundtrip hike. This short loop trail around the homestead of one of Gatlinburg's original settlers, arrives at the Ogle Cabin, and includes a mill and barn.

The easiest and shortest nearby hike, at 2.6 miles. The incredible walk-behind waterfall! The Grotto Falls hike is definitely worth your time! The beautiful trail winds uphill through lush vegetation and past mountain streams. Since the hike to the fall is uphill, your return trip is completely down hill. Don’t miss your opportunity to walk behind a waterfall – you may get a little wet, but you won’t get drenched.

This moderately difficult four-mile roundtrip hike is a favorite, which offers hikers a wooded hike with an old cemetery, creek views, historic buildings, and a 40-foot cascading waterfall. The lush and uncrowded setting makes it the perfect place to unwind. In addition, wildflower viewing during springtime months is second-to-none. This serene hike offers plenty of vistas and history and is the perfect place to escape for an afternoon.

"Known to locals simply as Greenbrier and sometimes shown on maps as the Middle Prong of the Little Pigeon River, Greenbrier Creek in the rugged northwest portion of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (GSMNP) is a gem for those who revel in wild trout, the mixture of challenges and rewards presented by small streams, and breathtaking natural beauty." This great restaurant is only a 16-minute drive from the house and is found in a peaceful, wooded, mountain location away from the crowded Gatlinburg tourist scene. It's family-friendly, offering hearty American meat and seafood dishes. The whiskey and wine lists are ample, and I strongly recommend trying their signature cocktail, The Dylan. The drink is an experience that involves smoking a snifter over flaming pecans before adding cherry ice and Bob Dylan's Heaven's Door bourbon. If you enjoy cocktails, don't miss it!🍹

For meat lovers looking for more amazing barbecue in the Smokies, head to Delauder’s a family-run spot that locals rave about. This unassuming, down-home eatery focuses on authentic, slow-smoked BBQ made with heart and soul. Their pulled pork, brisket, and ribs are cooked low and slow, resulting in perfectly tender, smoky meat bursting with flavor. Signature sandwiches like the “Piggy Mac” (pulled pork piled high on mac ‘n’ cheese) and the Brisket Grilled Cheese are must-tries for first-time visitors. Delauder’s may be off the beaten path, but it’s well worth the detour. Its rustic, no-frills atmosphere only adds to its charm, making it the perfect spot for a memorable, finger-licking BBQ experience in the Smokies. Come hungry—leave happy!
